Soft Sculpture
Pudding Bag (Portrait of the Artist as Roadkill)
Sewn and embroidered soft sculpture

2016
This sculpture is another work in a series of self-portraits. This piece is a characterization of the feeling of reaching or stretching yourself beyond your limits. Historical women’s fashion that augmented desirable parts of the body are made part of the body. The sculpture includes an sailor collar trimmed with fox heads, an embroidered face with clay teeth, yarn hair, and velvet limbs and entrails.
